I never write reviews unless I receive exceptional service. I met Dave Hyland about 14 years ago when searching for a good place to take my vehicle for repairs. I'd been screwed over by previous shops and had a natural distrust of automotive shops. Until one day when I walked into a shop being run by Dave Hyland who was always friendly and treated every customer like family. Over time I realized how honest and trustworthy Dave was. I'd come in for service thinking my car needed expensive repairs and Dave would come back with a repair estimate that was way cheaper than I was expecting and he never tried to upsell me on unneeded repairs or parts I didn't need. Then I discovered one day that Dave had left his position as manager of Sun Devil Auto and left to start his own shop. Was very glad that Dave is still in the automotive industry and that he runs an honest and friendly establishment just like he did when working for someone else. I tell anybody who is seriously looking for a great dependable and honest repair shop to visit Dave at Hyland Auto Repair. There's a reason why his shop has constant five star reviews. When customers and employees follow a great manager (now owner) to a new location that tells you something about how a shop should be run.

After going to another auto shop for a a/c recharge and being told i needed a a/c compressor i went to Hyland Auto repair on suggestions from friends. Not only did they expose the other shop for work not done and not needing the compressor, very expensive, they found the problem in less then a half hour and fixed it. Thanks Sara and David and staff for having and operating a honest and respectful shop. Customer for life

Very knowledgeable staff, timely and effective communicators. I was given updates throughout the entire process of trpubleshooting my engine. The receptionist gave me additional advice on auto maintenance as well as affordable auto parts stores. Two thumbs up!

Jay is an amazing Honest mechanic. i asked him to replace an item in my car that was around 800$. after his shop mechanics took a look that wasn’t even a problem he saved me $800. he replaced only his recommendations and i had really next day service. I feel confident my daughter has a car for a long time with proper maintenance. thank you Jay and your great team. This place is awesome! I went in for an oil change and they also helped me with my battery cable. I highly recommend them. Prices are fair, and the guys are so cool and honest. It's amazing to have FINALLY found a great local mechanic!!!

I have used Hyland since they opened their doors 18 months ago and couldn't be more pleased with their operation. They are honest, thorough, and priced fairly. I am out of town frequently and it gives me great comfort to know that if there is a problem with our vehicle my wife can go there and not get ripped off.

I've been a customer of David Hyland for many years and over that time through experience, learned to trust him in an industry where it's often difficult to believe or trust what you're being told. He takes the time to discuss any issues he or his technicians find, options, whether it's a "must fix now" or if the repair can be scheduled for a later date. Price/cost estimates are reasonable and there are no surprises (expect a few times, the final cost was somewhat less than initially quoted) at pick up time. I take meticulous care of my cars and Dave's the one I trust to keep me and my family safe.
